Whitney Brown is the Assessment & Strategic Projects Director at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) where she provides leadership in developing an environment for evidence-based decision-making within Student Affairs through systematic assessment activities at the divisional level. Current efforts focus on recruitment and enrollment strategy, communication and marketing planning, and student retention and completion. Whitney is also one of the co-founders of Alaska PEAK (Purposeful Assessment Engaging Knowledge), a holistic supervisory approach utilized at UAA with student employees focused on learning and skill development. Whitney is an active member of NASPA where she serves as the Region V Assessment, Research, and Evaluation Knowledge Community Representative, as well as Student Affairs Assessment Leaders, where she is the Chair for the Professional Development Committee. Whitney received her Master in Public Administration from the University at Albany.
