Dr. Tiffany Fountaine Boykin is the dean of student engagement at Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, Maryland. Dr. Boykin provides leadership, vision, innovation, and strategic direction for programs and activities that support student belonging, development, leadership, and wellness. Dr. Boykin’s research examines access, participation, and outcomes for students of color in collegiate settings. A noted author and presenter, Dr. Boykin has numerous publications and proceedings to her credit. Some of her research is published in refereed journals such as the Community College Journal of Research and Practice and the Journal of Negro Education. She has received several awards for her contributions to the profession, including recognition by the American Education Research Association for her efforts in producing scholarship which advances multicultural and multiethnic education, and for her continued commitment to underserved communities.
Andrew Blazie is coordinator of the tutoring office at Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, Maryland. Andrew provides leadership, supervision, and professional development of peer and professional tutors in mathematics, sciences, humanities, and foreign language courses. Andrew has extensive experience in working with underrepresented student populations, and regularly conducts workshops to demonstrate the utility of online tutoring platforms. Andrew is a master level certified tutor through the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) and conducts workshops certifying tutors employed through the Anne Arundel Community College tutoring office.
