Kevin Lewis joined Tulane University in 2017 as the senior program coordinator for the office of multicultural affairs & gender and sexual diversity (commonly referred to as “The O”). He is responsible for advising the multi-ethnic and LGBTQ+ undergraduate student organizations within the office, creating leadership development opportunities for student leaders, co-instructing a course focused on social justice facilitation, and other responsibilities related to fostering a more inclusive and equitable environment for underrepresented students at Tulane. Kevin is passionate about examining how campus environments can be more equitable and welcoming for underrepresented students and facilitating dialogues for people to develop their own social consciousness around issues.
Before arriving to Tulane, Kevin served as the graduate supervisor for diversity education for residential programs & services through his Masters of Higher Education program at Indiana University Bloomington. A native of Detroit, MI, Kevin has been involved in diversity and social justice work since his early college days. He was involved in several student organizations that engaged in student activism and social justice work at Bowling Green State University. He is a member of 100 Black Men of New Orleans, NASPA – Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education and the American College Personnel Association (ACPA).
Courtney Williams is the director of student engagement & leadership at Dillard University.
Nicole Caridad Ralston serves as the program manager for community service programs at Tulane University’s Center for Public Service (CPS). In this role, she works with community service-based student organizations, social justice development programs, and community engagement-based scholarships. Prior to this role, she worked at CPS as the AmeriCorps VISTA program coordinator. She previously worked at The University of New Orleans with first-year experience and retention services. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in history & american studies at Florida State University and earned her Master’s degree in higher education administration at North Carolina State University. Nicole Caridad Ralston is currently pursuing her Ph.D in educational leadership at The University of New Orleans, and in her free time she enjoys sharing her foodie finds on her instagram blog: Off the Eaten Path NOLA (@eatenpathnola)
