Amy Sajko is the senior director of the NASPA Foundation. She began her philanthropic career in 1996 and has been a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) since 2002. She has worked in a variety of higher education settings including Bradley University, Illinois Central College (a community college), and Illinois State University. She joined Illinois State in 2002 as the Director of Development for Student Affairs and eventually became the chief development advisor for the president and vice presidents. To further develop her planned giving expertise, Amy also worked five years as a bank trust officer.
Amy joined the NASPA Foundation in January 2013 as its first ever development professional. Since joining NASPA, Amy has helped the Foundation Board grow the donor base by 137%, increase revenue by 132% and, most notably, double the amount the Foundation distributes for scholarships, research grants, and awards.
