Dr. Ellen Neufeldt is the vice president of student engagement and enrollment services for Old Dominion University (ODU). She leads the areas of student engagement, student success, enrollment services, government relations, strategic communication and marketing and institutional research. During her time at the university, ODU has achieved its highest retention and graduation rates in school history and was ranked by EdTrust as being one of the top 15 Universities nationally for African American student success. She also teaches in the university’s higher education graduate program. Dr. Neufeldt was named a Pillar of the Profession by NASPA in 2017 and received the 2015 NASPA Scott Goodnight Award for her demonstrated and sustained professional service as a chief student affairs officer. The Southern Association for College Student Affairs (SACSA) honored her with the Melvene Draheim Hardee Award in 2018 and with the Howard S. Davis Sr. Service Award in 2016.
Dr. Helen-Grace Ryan is the vice president of student affairs at Bellarmine University. In her role as vice president, Helen-Grace provides leadership and oversight for the division of student affairs: athletics, campus ministry, campus recreation and intramural sports, career development, counseling center, culinary services, dean of students office, disability services, office of identity and inclusion, office of public safety, service and leadership, student health services, residence life, student activities and orientation, and student conduct. Helen-Grace has served as a member of the NASPA Region III Board for the past seven years and was most recently elected regional director. Helen-Grace has been recognized as one of Louisville’s Forty Under 40, as a NASPA Region III James E. Scott Outstanding Mid-Level Student Affairs Professional, and was most recently inducted in the College Personnel Association of Kentucky Hall of Fame. Helen-Grace has also been recognized as Bellarmine’s Student Advocate of the Year.
