About This Course

Ready to make a move from entry-level to mid-level? Finding the right position, institution, or opportunity may influence your ability to thrive as a professional. When circumstances are ideal, there is a greater likelihood that you will be the best educator that you can be.  The presenters will share their journey and lead a reflective activity to set a framework for continued growth.

The presenters have experienced the joys and challenges of finding the right "fit" for living their passion. As colleagues who experienced a challenging transition at a university and engaged in meaningful dialogue with each other, both individuals found their professional "calling," actualizing their passion through their work. Sharing this experience will instill a positive message of hope and accomplishment for new and mid-level professionals to continue investing in their own self-development. Focusing the discussion on the transition from entry-level positions to a second position in the field will allow for self-assessment, reflection, and career planning, ensuring these professionals will be better prepared and inspired to continue their growth as student affairs professionals.
