Dr. Anthony Altieri serves as the vice president for student affairs at Lynn University. Altieri oversees student life and a variety of student focused programs and services. He and his team are committed to the personal, social, and emotional development of all students through experiences beyond the classroom both on campus and in the community.
Since joining Lynn, Altieri has served in multiple capacities including associate dean of students and assistant dean of students. With over 15 years of practice in higher education, he has a broad range of experiences within student affairs, conflict management, and student success and achievement. Most recently, he established the university’s competencies-driven new student transitional program and its Lynn Leadership Institute, which creates further opportunities for co-curricular learning.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from St. John Fisher College. He discovered his passion for working with students through his extracurricular involvement and the leadership opportunities that he was afforded during those formative years. Altieri received his Master of Science in college student personnel administration from Canisius College and received a Master of Business Administration from Lynn University. He completed his Doctorate of Education in higher education administration from the University of Florida.
Dr. Theresa Gallo currently serves as the associate dean of students at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. Prior to this role, she was the assistant dean of student involvement and the director of student involvement at Lynn University and served the Staten Island campus of St. John’s University as the associate director of student life and the assistant director of campus activities. Theresa earned her graduate and undergraduate degrees in biology from the Metropolitan Campus of Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey. She completed her Ed.D in educational leadership, along with her advance certificate in education, at St. John’s University in New York. For the past five years, she has served as a mid-manager overseeing programming, leadership, service, fraternity & sorority life, diversity, and the new student transitional program. She manages teams of professional staff, para-professional staff, and student staff to foster student development and community building within the university.
