Peggy Burke, Ph.D. is currently the Associate Vice President of Student Development at DePaul University, in which she supervises the departments of residential education, student involvement, and new student and family engagement and also serves on the leadership team of the vice president of student affairs. She has worked at DePaul University her entire career. She holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education and a master’s degree in history from DePaul University and earned her doctorate in higher education administration from Loyola University Chicago. She holds professional interests in the areas of college student development, leadership development, women’s development, organizational development and change management. She has been an adjunct faculty member at Loyola University Chicago, DePaul University, Benedictine University and Northwestern University. Active in NASPA Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, she has served as the co-chair of the national NASPA Mid-Level Administrators Conference, Region IV-East regional director, Awards Chair, WISA Conference Co-Chair and Leadership Programs Knowledge Community Chair; in 2011, she received the Outstanding Contribution to NASPA IV-East Award; and in 2016 was named a “Pillar of the Profession” by the NASPA Foundation Board.
