Dr. John Maduko serves as the vice chancellor of student affairs at North Central Texas College (NCTC). In that capacity, he serves as the chief student affairs officer for NCTC’s 6 campus community college district, overseeing: student affairs, Title IX coordination, Title III programming, financial aid, enrollment management, student life, residence life, recruitment, veterans affairs, multicultural affairs, student conduct and university partnerships. Prior to his appointment to vice chancellor, he served as the dean of health sciences and eLearning at NCTC. He has served in administrative and faculty roles with Rasmussen College, EDMC, Mountain State University, and Hillsborough Community College.
Dr. Maduko holds a Bachelor’s of Science in biology from California State Polytechnic University Pomona and a Doctor of Medicine degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine. He is a member of various state and national higher education organizations, including the Texas Community College Instructional Administrators (TCCIA) as president-elect and the American Conference of Academic Deans (ACAD) as a member of their board of directors.
Before his career as a higher education practitioner, Dr. Maduko was a physician by trade and continues to advocate for healthcare innovation and access both domestically and abroad
Julia Arreguy is the manager of student applications at Sierra Community College in Rocklin, CA. In her role, she focuses on using technology to scale effective student support practices in community colleges. This includes communications to students, effective and targeted portal content management, timely and relevant nudges to students, thoughtful and intentional choice architecture, continual improvement in student user interfaces, and ongoing maintenance of existing student-facing technology. She collaborates and consults with staff, faculty and students using data informed decision-making structures. Her passion is leveraging technology to maximize the societal benefit of the educational tax dollar.
Ali Janjua is a content marketing manager at Ready Education. He has been with Ready Education since 2016 and has worked with over 40 partners during that time, ranging from small community colleges to large, multi-campus institutions. He has over 10 years' experience in higher education, having worked at McGill University prior to joining Ready Education. At McGill, Ali was responsible for designing career and engagement programs for students and young alumni.
