VCU LEAD: An Integrative Approach to Leadership Development

with Jimmy Gahagan

About This Course

Integrating experiences from within and beyond the classroom is critical skill for today’s college student. Join us for this webinar as we explore the concepts of integrative learning and leadership development through the lens of the LEAD program at Virginia Commonwealth University.

According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers 2016 Job Outlook survey, more than 80% of responding employers are looking for leadership skills on a candidate’s resume. Therefore it is critical for leadership educators to help students understand a broad definition of leadership and make connections between their curricular and co-curricular experiences. How do we help more students critically reflect and integrate their leadership learning and development? During this live briefing, participants will explore how the LEAD program at Virginia Commonwealth University has approached teaching leadership and integrative learning.
